Course Content.
Joanne introduces herself and shares what you’ll learn in this Session, including her baking philosophy, her passion for the science of baking, and what you need to get started.
In this section, you’ll follow along as Joanne makes her famous Chocolate Chunk Cookie recipe. Then, riffing off her recipe, you’ll learn how to create your very own custom cookie.
In this section, you’ll follow along with Joanne to learn how to make pâte brisée—a delicious dough used for pie crust—and then learn step-by-step how she uses this dough to make both blueberry-lemon and apple pie.
In this section you’ll learn how to make the rich yeasted dough known as brioche and how to use it to make Joanne’s famous Sticky Sticky Buns and a variety of other baked goods.
In this section you’ll follow along with Joanne to make a simply delicious vanilla cake and learn a variety of ways to coat, soak, stack, frost, and decorate it however you’d like.
Joanne recaps what you’ve learned in the session with congratulations and a toast to your future baking successes.
